Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team moved to 3-2 on the season with a pair of victories in Marshalltown this weekend.
The first was a 77-70 win over John Wood.
The Lakers were led by Ashton Hermann with 25 points, Jermaine Freeman added 16, Jhordan Ryan had 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Aaron Armstrong added 10.
John Wood's stats were not available.
"They jumped out to a quick lead, but our guys showed some courage and battled back. Aaron Armstrong was huge off the bench. He made two clutch threes' late in the first half to get the game back in reach." Said Laker Head Coach Jason McKinney.
In their second game of the weekend the Lakers would knock off DME Academy 75-46.
The Lakers were led by Ashton Hermann again with 24 points. Jhordan Ryan added 15 points, and Jade West had 13 points.
DME'S stats were not available.

The Lakers will return to action Tuesday night when they take on Dordt's JV in Laker Gymnasium. Tip will be at 7:30 PM.
