The Iowa Lakes Community College Men's Basketball team defeated Iowa Central 81-79 to move to 8-5 on the season and 1-3 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.

The Lakers were led by Ashton Hermann with 28 points. Jhordan Ryan added 18, and Jermaine Freeman and Jade West added 14 each.

Iowa Central was led by Jalen Wynter with 16 points.

"Really proud of our guys grit tonight. We played hard on the defensive end and got stops and rebounds at the end to seal the game." Said Iowa Lakes Head Men's Basketball Coach Jason McKinney.

The Lakers will be back in play on Monday night when they host Northeast. Tip for that game will be at 7:30pm.
