Football Ends Season with Tough Loss
The Erie Community College football ended their season with a loss to Sussex County Community College on Saturday, losing to the Skylanders 25-18.
The Kats entered the fourth quarter down 17-10. Quarterback Eric Wilson would lead the team on an 80 yard drive capped off by his one yard touchdown run and then convert on a 2 point conversion to take the lead 18-17 with just over a minute left to play. But the Skylanders would find a way to answer with a drive of their own to take back the lead and earn the victory.
Wilson was 16-32 for 132 yards and one rushing touchdown. Receiver Joseph Butler Jr. caught eight passes for 93 yards and a touchdown while Bryant Jackson led the team in rushing with 71 yards on the day. On the defensive side of the ball, Joshua Larrier led the team in tackles with 11.
Erie finished the season with a record of 6-4.
