Casper, WY — The Casper College Thunderbirds women's basketball team showcased their grit and determination in a commanding 69-46 victory over Northeastern Junior College on January 4, 2025. This home win at the "Swede" Erickson Thunderbird Gym cemented the Thunderbirds' strong start to the new year.

Hassana Amadu led the Thunderbirds with a team-high 14 points, showcasing her efficiency by hitting 5 of her 9 field goal attempts and going 4-for-5 from the free-throw line. She also contributed 7 rebounds, asserting herself as a force in the paint.
"Andi Schissler was tremendous on the boards tonight," said Coach Gunnare. "Thirteen rebounds from a guard position is just incredible, and that kind of effort inspires the entire team." Schissler also chipped in 8 points, hitting two clutch three-pointers during a critical stretch in the third quarter.

Luna Ueda added an all-around effort with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Her court vision and ability to connect with teammates fueled the Thunderbirds' offensive runs. Additionally, Adama Badjie Coly chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds, further solidifying the team's interior game.
