Jayhawks almost sweep the Centurions
Jayhawks win 3-1 versus Montcalm Community College.

The MCC volleyball team played the Centurions of Montcalm Community College on Thursday, October 17th in Sidney, MI. The Jayhawks won 3-1 with set scores of 25-23, 30-28, 23-25, 25-16.
Sophomore setter Shelbie Schoenborn led the offense with 44 assists. Sophomore Ana Trevino had a team high of 15 kills followed by freshman Madison Babinec with 11 kills (.257%).
Defensively, Schoenborn led the team with 16 digs and 4 block assists with Madisyn Dykema and Kaylee Balcom both having 12 digs apiece. Dykema picked up another double -double this season, pairing with 10 kills. Trevino had a team high of 9 block assists, which is also a season high for her.
As a team, the Jayhawks picked up 52 kills, 8 service aces, 77 digs, and 22 blocks. MCC has also secured a spot in the NJCAA Region XII Division II District Tournament hosted in Port Huron, MI November 7th-9th.
