Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team fell to 7-4 overall and 0-2 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play with a 90-67 loss to NJCAA 4th ranked Kirkwood.
Ashton Hermann led the way for the Lakers with 22 points. Jhordan Ryan chipped in with 14 points, and Jermaine Freeman added 11.
Kirkwood was led by Tate Peterson with 25 points.
"Give Kirkwood credit, they got beat their last time out and they responded like the 4th ranked team in the country should. They punched us in the mouth right from the start. I have to do a better job of getting our guys to understand how hard you have to work night in and night out in our conference." Said Laker Head Coach Jason McKinney.
The Lakers next contest will be on Wednesday when the host Iowa Western. Tip for that game will be at 7:30pm.
