Miami Dade Dominates State College of Florida with Explosive Offensive Performance
Miami Dade put on an offensive showcase Wednesday night, storming past State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota with a commanding 13-3 victory. The Sharks erupted for 13 runs on 13 hits, sealing the win in just six innings.
After falling behind 3-0 in the first inning, Miami Dade responded with four runs in the third, led by a three-run home run from Talan Beckford. The momentum carried into the fourth, where Michael Petite blasted a three-run homer of his own, extending the lead to 7-3.
The Sharks continued to apply pressure, adding another run in the fifth before a five-run sixth inning secured the victory. David Zamora (3-for-5, RBI) and Cian Copeland (2-for-4, RBI) contributed key hits, while Denixon Suarez reached base three times and drove in a run.
On the mound, Jordan Vargas was dominant, allowing just one hit and striking out two in six innings of work. Despite allowing three early runs, Vargas settled in and kept the Manatees' offense in check for the remainder of the game.
