Men's basketball falls to Virginia Peninsula 75-62

Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team was defeated at home by conference opponent Virginia Peninsula Community College 75-62.

The Eagles started out strong, leading 18-9 midway through the first half. After a slow start, the visitors were able to come back and took control of the game toward the end of the first half.

First-year Jason Kim led the Eagles with a career-high 21 points. He also led the team with six steals and six assists. Classmate Leo Etah had 13 points and seven rebounds. First-year Ved Desai scored nine points and had 16 rebounds for Emory Oxford.

The Eagles are now 5-5 this season and 0-2 in the conference.

Emory Oxford's next game is on the road against Southern Crescent Technical College. Game time is 7 p.m.
