
ELLISVILLE, Miss. - The Lady Indians season came to an end after a 4-2 loss to No. 1 Northwest Mississippi Community College in the semifinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament at Jones Colleges on Thursday.
Cooper Pletzke (Clinton) scored on an unassited goal in the 71st minute to make it a 4-1 match. Vanessa Baugatz (Berlin, Germany) cut the Lady Rangers lead half with a goal off an assist from Isobel Kinsella (Gloucestershire, United Kingdom). The Lady Indians rushed shots in hopes to complete the second half rally, but Northwest was able to hold off the surge to remain unbeaten on the season with the two-goal victory.
Annabelle Holman (Amory) had nine saves in the match.
The Lady Inidans finished the season with a 13-4-1 record and was reached as high as No. 18 in the NJCAA rankings.
