SAINTS LOSE TO INDIAN RIVER DESPITE VALIANT COMEBACK ATTEMPT
The Santa Fe Saints travelled to Fort Pierce, Florida, Monday evening to face Indian River State College in the Saints' final game of the regular season.
With playoff seeding up in the air, the Saints found themselves down 11 at halftime to Indian River State College. To start the second half, the Saints couldn't find their rhythm as Indian River found themselves up 16 points midway through the second half thanks to their relentless attack on the rim. However, scoring bursts from Karmello Branch and Joshua Watkins helped the Saints fight their way to a 3 point lead with under 3 minutes left. From that point, it was a back and forth affair thanks to late scoring from Ryan Webster and Connor Morris. Unfortunately, the Saints fell short 87-88. The Saints' will now have a Play-In game against St. Petersburg to determine who comes away with the #6 seed.
