
FULTON, Miss. – The Indians picked up their second win of the day with a 3-1 victory over Henderson State's junior varsity team in four sets (22-25; 25-12; 25-18; 25-12).
After dropping the first set, 25-22, the Indians shook it off and took the next three sets to secure the match victory.
Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) led ICC with 26 digs throughout the match, which was the fifth most in a match in program history. Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) and Bree Lyons (Oxford) contributed 14 each to the stat sheet. On the attack, Pendleton recorded a team-best 18 kills while Lyons added 12 and Michael Ann East (Oxford), nine.
Next up, the Indians will jump back into their conference slate, Oct. 7, when they travel to Poplarville to take on Pearl River at 5 p.m.
