The Cyclones led from the start in their first meet-up this season with McHenry County College.

Once the Cyclones had the ball, they took control of the game, outscoring the Scots in both halves, ultimately settling in at a 100-84 victory.

It was a balanced effort by the Cyclones with their biggest lead coming in the second half at 27 points. Amarion Johnson had a triple-double (17 points, 11 rebounds, 10 blocks) while Grantas Sakenis (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Deven Jiles (10 points, 10 rebounds) each had double-doubles. Jelani McGregor collected 19 points, and Juvon Crawford added 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
