Ravens Score 3 in Final Inning to Earn 6-5 Victory Over NEO

Wyandotte, Okla. - With NEO's field a little soggy, The Coffeyville Red Raven Women's Softball Team traveled to Wyandotte Oklahoma High School to play the Norsman of NEO.  The Red Ravens were facing a little history as they had not beaten NEO for 15 games which dated back to 2013.  Coffeyville had a little comeback in them as they scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure a 6-5 victory.  Coffeyville's victory improves their 2025 overall record to 2-6.

NEO jumped out early in the game scoring single runs in both the first and second innings to lead the Ravens 2-0 through two.  Coffeyville answered in the top of the third scoring three runs in the top of the third to take a 3-2 lead.  NEO took back the lead after scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth to go up 4-3.  The Red Ravens retook the lead after scoring three more runs in the top of the seventh to go back up 6-4.  Neo scored a single run in the bottom of the seventh, however, Coffeyville held on for the 6-5 victory.

Raven game leaders included sophomore center fielder Aliyah Thompson with a big seventh-inning triple and Katelynn Siess who went 2-4 in the game including two RBIs.  Freshman right-hand Emma Nelson went the complete game seven innings allowing five earned with two strikeouts.
