
MERIDIAN, Miss. – The Indians (2-3-1, 0-0-1 MACCC) couldn't cash in on late opportunities as they opened conference play with a 1-1 draw at Meridian on Tuesday night.
With 27:42 left in the first half, Luke Dearsley (Sydney, Australia) went top shelf on a penalty kick to put ICC up 1-0, which was the score at halftime.
After halftime, the Eagles (4-3-1, 0-0-1 MACCC) found the equalizer to tie the score with 18:23 left to play, and ICC wasn't able to capitalize on late opportunities as the match finished with the 1-1 draw.
Leander Breidenbruecker (Bizau, Austria) and Niclas Schulze (Hoersholm, Denmark) each had two shots on goal while Will Barber (Kent, England), Aiden Dodge (Hernando), Roy Gonzalez (Oxford) and Dearsley each added one.
William Blake (Fulton) recorded three saves with one goal allowed in the match.
