No. 5 Parkland tops Glen Oaks at home
Viking men drop non-conference game.
CENTREVILLE — No. 5-ranked Parkland College visited Glen Oaks Wednesday and handed the Vikings a 75-53 loss after shooting just over 50 percent from the field for the game.
Inside the 3-point arc, Parkland converted on 70.3 percent of its field goal attempts. The Cobras built a 32-15 halftime lead and kept the offensive pressure on over the final 20 minutes en route to their 12th win of the season.
Freshman Amauri Moore led GOCC with 21 points on 10-for-14 shooting, and sophomore Darrius Roach produced 16 points. Taurus Baugh was next in line with eight points.
Moore also led the squad with seven rebounds while Roach dished out three assists and grabbed two steals.
Glen Oaks will next take the court on Jan. 8 at Jackson.
