BALTIMORE - Sophomore outfielder Couper Stala collected four hits and four RBI, as Cecil College baseball upended CCBC-Dundalk 14-3 in its road opener.
Stala's perfected day at the dish started with a lead off home run to right field, giving the Seahawks a 1-0 lead. He later drove home three more via two singles and a bases loaded free pass.
Five additional Seahawks produced one hit each, including a two-run bomb from Tyler Burger. Brendan Aiken's double represented Cecil's final extra-base knock.
On the mound, John Smith (2-0) struck out nine Lions for his second win. He allowed 10 hits, but only three runs came across in the sixth before Cecil ended the contest with the mercy rule.
The Seahawks are now 2-3 with the win.
