FLINT - The Mott Community College men's basketball team rallied in the second half against Wayne County Community College, but fell short in a MCCAA matchup on Monday at the Ballenger Fieldhouse.
The Bears trailed nine points at the break and by 11 with three minutes to play. Mott cut the deficit to four with under a minute to go on a Miles Bear 3-pointer, but the Wildcats held on to escape with a 79-74 win.
The loss drops Mott to 15-10 overall and 4-7 in the MCCAA with three games left in the regular season.

Beard scored a team-high 20 points off the bench, including four 3-pointers.

Justin Mims scored 13 and added a team-high seven rebounds.

Kevin Tiggs Jr. added 11 points, while Kylen Clark finished with nine.

Teon Armstrong had a team-high five assists, and added five rebounds.

The Bears shot 30-of-71 from the field, 6-of-18 from deep, and 8-of-10 at the line.
