
FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College volleyball team took care of business Wednesday night, sweeping rival Northeast in front of a packed Davis Event Center in three sets (25-13; 25-15; 25-12).
The Indians set the tone in the opening set, 25-13, and never looked back as they took the second, 25-15, and the third, 25-12, securing the sweep over the Tigers.
Bree Lyons (Oxford) led ICC with nine kills while Lexi Pendleton (Germantown, Tenn.) added five, and Michael Ann East (Oxford), four. On the serve, Kensley Woolbright (New Hope) posted a team-best 12 digs while Lyons added eight. Presley Jones (Killen, Ala.) led with 13 assists, and Kylie Graham (Moulton, Ala.) added five.
Next up, the Indians will be back in the Davis Event Center Sept. 27 for a 2 p.m. showdown with Gadsden State.
