The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's basketball team fell to the Grand View University Varsity Reserve team, 85-61 Dec. 3 at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. Despite scoring just 16 first half points, the Blue Devils were able to bounce back in the second half and score 45 points.

Samaire Slusarek, who was named KJCCC DII Women's Basketball Player of the Week, dropped a team-high 20 points, six rebounds, two steals and one assist. Amaya Gallegos came off the bench and put up 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Emma Berenguer Fernandez went 2-6 from the field and finished with six points.

For the game, the Lady Blue Devils shot 24-65 from the field (36.9%), 2-14 from three-point range (14.3%) and 11-19 from the free-throw line (57.9%).
