Lady Greyhounds Drop Overtime Thriller
It was the first game back in a week as the snow pilled on in West Memphis, and the Lady Greyhounds brought the head. Unfortunately, it just wasn't their night as it was South Arkansas pulling out the 93-88 win.

This game was entertaining from the jump as both teams brought a lot of firepower with them. It was ASU Mid-South who took a 20-16 lead after 1 doing all their damage inside the 3 point line. The 2nd quarter was much like the first as both teams remained light up the scoreboard. This time the Stars would win the quarter 24-19 doing it from all over the floor taking a 40-39 lead into the half.
These teams picked right up where they left off to start the 2nd half as both teams would score in completely different way. The Stars were doing most of their damage outside the 3 point line, and ASU Mid-South was doing everything inside the 3 point line. Unfortunately for the Lady Greyhounds, they did not convert their chances at the free throw line only converting 4 out of 10, but it was good enough to give them a 1 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Again, both teams stayed at each others heals as it was ASU Mid-South with under 2 seconds remaining in a tie game to get off the final shot to earn their first victory of the year. Zarriah Adams got the shot off in plenty of time, but just did not go down.
Overtime started, and you could tell the fatigue for the Lady Greyhounds really started to settle in as their shots just stopped falling. The Stars would double up the Lady Greyhounds in the overtime period giving South Arkansas the 93-88 win.
South Arkansas was lad by Cammi Christie's 26 points, followed by AJ Person with 22 points 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Jacie Bishop scored 12 all from deep, and Lindsey Lockhart led the Stars off the bench with 10 points.
ASU Mid-South was led by Lula Jae-Tranfaglia and London Robinson both with double doubles. Tranfaglia scored 19 points and pulled down 14 rebounds and 5 steals, and Robinson also scored 19 points and pulled down 15 rebounds with 5 assists and 4 steals. Zarriah Adams let the Lady Greyhounds in scoring with 26.
The Lady Greyhounds drop to 0-14 on the year and 0-4 in Region 2 play. They travel to National Park College in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Thursday, January 16. Tip-off is set for 5:30.
