Hot Start Not Enough As Lady Dolphins Fall To Cape Fear

In their Region 10 matchup on Wednesday night at home, the Lady Dolphins showed early signs of pulling off an upset against their nationally ranked rival. The homestanding Lady Dolphins went shot for shot with the undefeated and #23-ranked Cape Fear CC Sea Devils throughout the first quarter, ending the period with an 18-16 lead. However, the Sea Devils' depth, shooting, and transition game took over in the following quarters, allowing them to extend their perfect 7-0 record and pull away for an 81-57 victory.

Princess Canady led the Lady Dolphins with 13 points, followed by Amaya Glenn and Shuntay Douglas with 11 points each, and Chelsea Rivera with 10 points. The Lady Dolphins will look to bounce back in their next Region 10 contest against Cleveland CC at home on Sunday, December 8th, at 1:00 pm.
