
Cougars Struggle to Contain Hagerstown 82-70
The Frederick Community College Cougars men's basketball team battled hard but came up short in an 82-70 loss to the Hagerstown CC Hawks at home. The Cougars kept pace in the first half, trailing by just seven at the break, but struggled to slow down the Hawks' efficiency at the free-throw line, where they converted 38 of 46 attempts.
Aiden Igwebe led the way for Frederick with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Mike Davis added 15 points on an efficient 7-for-10 shooting performance. Kentavious Dancy also reached double figures with 12 points and added six rebounds and four assists. The Cougars bested the Hawks on the boards 31 to 28. Despite a strong effort, the Cougars couldn't close the gap in the second half.
Frederick turns their attention to their next matchup on the road against the College of Southern Maryland on February 19 at 5:00 PM.
