Miami Dade Falls to Motlow State in Tough 11-0 Loss
The Miami Dade College Sharks struggled to generate offense against a dominant Motlow State pitching staff, falling 11-0 in a seven-inning matchup.
Motlow State took an early lead in the first inning and steadily built on it, scoring in the fourth and fifth before erupting for seven runs in the seventh to secure the shutout victory.
The Sharks managed just two hits in the contest, with Alejandro Sanchez and Adrian Poviones recording the lone knocks for Miami Dade. The offense struggled to find its rhythm against Motlow State's pitching duo of Sammy Vander Hill and Jordan Logan, who combined for seven shutout innings, allowing only two hits while striking out five.
On the mound, Miami Dade's Jack Garvey started strong, allowing just one unearned run through three innings while striking out three. However, errors and late-inning struggles allowed Motlow State to break the game open. Alex Pazos and Jose Villegas combined to allow seven runs in the seventh, including a two-run homer by John Henry Harrison that capped off the scoring.
