
The College of Central Florida Patriots (4-0) baseball squad won their fourth straight game to open the season when they defeated the A3 Academy Trojans 9-4 on Tuesday afternoon.
Miles Curley (1-0) earned the win in relief as he tossed 2.2 innings of no hit, no run baseball which included four strikeouts. Evan Dobias added two no hit, no run innings as well with two strikeouts.
Offensively the Patriots were led by Victor Martinez Jr who went 2 for 3 including a triple and three RBI. Jacob McKenzie had and run scoring double.
Head Coach Marty Smith said "The energy level seemed to be down some today, but we were able to overcome the slow start and produce some runs when we needed it."
CF's next home game is Friday vs. South Florida State College, 1:00 PM.
