Cyclones come up short

Cyclones come up short

It was close battle and some good ball between Moraine Valley and Prairie State College, which saw the Cyclones fall 3-2.

The Pioneers scored one run early, but neither team crossed the plate after that until the eighth inning. Prairie State had a few hits to get ahead 3-0 before the Cyclones came up to bat. With Caston Norris on after being hit by a pitch, Robert Kutt (1-for-3) knocked him in on a single to center field. Ryder Johnson (1-for-3) then came up and scored Kutt on a double, but that was it for the Cyclone offense.

The collective pitching efforts of Jack Greaney, Maddox Reta and Zachary Koschnitzki, along with Cyclone defense, helped keep the Pioneers to three runs.
