Gulf Coast State College knocked off Santa Fe (2-5) in a back in forth battle on Saturday afternoon 68-61. The two teams were knotted 29-29 at the half. A big third quarter propelled Gulf Coast to an eight-point lead heading into the Fourth Quarter. The Saints cut the lead to as few as three points late into the fourth quarter; however, Gulf Coast ran away with it down the stretch.
Madyson Burney led the way with 23 of the Saints 61 points, knocking gin five three-point baskets. Burney was the only SF player in double figures. Micah Hannah, Taylor Hackett, and Yanija Lawson all had seven points, while Aissa Diallo and Ta'Niya Walker had six each.
The Saints are back in action Tuesday, November 19th at 5:30 at FSCJ.
