Toms River, NJ - OCC Men's Basketball pulled up to 7-6 overall this season following a gritty 79-67 win against the visiting Cougars of Camden County College. The win marked the Vikings' 4th in their last 5 games.
OCC freshman guard Jamari Smith was on proverbial fire tonight, scoring a team-leading (and season best) 31 points and bringing in 6 rebounds, while point guard Dylan Csik had a similarly explosive night, with 28 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in a matchup that the Cougars led early in the first half, before Ocean seized the lead and held it.
"A great defensive effort in the second half helped us secure the win," remarked OCC Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Boylan. "Jamari with a career-high 31 points and Dylan a stat-stuffing 28 point game and 5 steals sealed the deal. Looking forward to Saturday against Thaddeus Stevens."
