The Roadrunner Men's Basketball team opens up the Region 19 North Atlantic District B playoffs Saturday, Feb. 22, with a road match at No. 10 Brookdale Community College in a 1 pm tipoff.

The No. 10 Runners, coached by Brandon Williams, finished the regular season with an 11-16 overall record after dropping their first five games to begin the campaign. The Jersey Blues enter the contest wit an 18-7 overall record, and defeated the Runners by a 70-50 score in late January on their home court.

Freshman guard Ace Lassiter feels the Runners showed more consistency in the second half of the season -- and he hopes it will be enough to lift his team through a tough opening-round battle.

"If we can execute our shots and play a tough defense, we can hang with any team," Lassiter said recently. "Our guys have been stepping it up, so there's a lot of confidence here."

The RCSJ-Brookdale winner will advance into a semi-final game at No. 2 Montgomery on Feb. 26th.
