Lady Tribs Fall to #18 SUNY Niagara

ROCHESTER, NY - SUNY Niagara defeated Monroe Community College 86-42 in a decisive matchup at Monagan Court on Whiteout Night.

The game began tightly contested, with SUNY Niagara holding a slim 19-13 lead after the first quarter. However, it was the second quarter that began to set the tone as Niagara outscored Monroe 16-14, pushing their lead to 35-27 at halftime.

The tide truly turned in the third quarter, as Niagara erupted for 29 points while holding Monroe to a mere four. This dramatic shift allowed the visitors to extend their lead to 64-31 by the end of the quarter. 

Four players for Niagara made significant contributions, led by Krystal Smith, who registered 16 points and five rebounds in 37 minutes of play. Anaya Smith also added 12 points and collected nine rebounds, while bench standout Atarah Walker dominated with 21 points on an efficient 9-for-10 shooting, contributing to the team's overall offensive success.

Monroe's top performers included Serenity Henderson, who led her team with 23 points, Skylah Kemp added 14 points and an impressive 12 rebounds for the Lady Tribunes
