NCMC Women's Basketball Has No Trouble Against Visiting Grand View JV

The 15th ranked NCMC Lady Pirates put together a dominant performance at home on Monday, cruising to an 82-49 victory over Grand View University JV. The team's balanced attack, efficient shooting, and rebounding prowess proved to be too much for the visitors.

Honor Mannings was the star of the night, delivering an outstanding performance off the bench with 18 points on near-perfect shooting, going 7-for-8 from the field, including a three-pointer, and hitting all three of her free throw attempts. She also grabbed seven rebounds and recorded four steals, making an impact on both ends of the floor.

Kayanna Cranmer and Talicia Byrd also provided key contributions, each scoring nine points. Cranmer added six rebounds and two assists while Byrd was highly efficient, shooting 4-for-6 from the field and knocking down her only three-point attempt. Jessica Reeter and Oliviya Tinoco each chipped in six points while collecting six and eight rebounds, respectively, helping North Central control the glass.

The team's depth was evident, as multiple players stepped up to contribute. A'Myah Bankston scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds, while Maddi Fisher and Tailer Morrison each added six points. Sidney Aeschliman found her way to the free-throw line, where she made all four of her attempts, finishing with four points and four rebounds.

Defensively, North Central was relentless, forcing 15 turnovers and recording 14 steals. Their dominance on the boards was another major factor in the win, out-rebounding Grand View JV 59-26, including a staggering 25 offensive rebounds that led to numerous second-chance opportunities.

Despite some struggles from beyond the arc, shooting just 5-for-23 from three-point range, North Central's aggressive play in the paint and defensive intensity more than made up for it. Their 43.4% shooting from the field was a significant edge over Grand View JV's 27.4%, as they continually found high-percentage shots.

With contributions from nearly every player on the roster, North Central Missouri College showcased their depth, hustle, and efficiency in a statement win.
