Vineland, NJ. – Seven Mighty Oaks scored in double figures as the Salem Community College men's basketball team rolled past RCSJ-Cumberland 119-63 in Region 19 play. This was the fourth win in a row by the Mighty Oaks who improve to 13-4 on the season.
Three Mighty Oaks registered double doubles on the night. Both Taje'e Jordan and Jyheim Spencer scored 15 points with Spencer pulling down a team high 15 boards and Jordan with 11. Tyrese Fortune scored 13 points and had 11 rebounds. Akeem Taylor led Salem with 17 points on the night with Xavier Brewington adding 16 for the Mighty Oaks. Rounding out the Mighty Oaks scoring in double figures were Tamir Powell with 15 points and Ahmodrion Jones adding 10.
Salem will remain on the road when they will travel to Atlantic Cape Community College Thursday January 16 with a tip off slated for 6:00PM.
