Tallahassee, FL - January 4, 2025 — The Tallahassee State College Eagles softball team delivered an impressive performance on Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader against Florida State College of Jacksonville. The Eagles won the first game 5-3 and dominated the second game 5-0, showcasing both strong offense and pitching.
In Game 1, the Eagles overcame a tight contest, with a key RBI double from Aubrey Alonso that helped seal the win. Alonso's performance on the mound was also crucial, as she earned the win, pitching a full 7 innings with 5 hits, 3 runs (none earned), 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Joey Faulk contributed with a triple, adding to the Eagles' offensive momentum.
In Game 2, the Eagles dominated both offensively and defensively, cruising to a 5-0 victory. Four different players recorded RBIs, with Laura Rifenburg adding a spark on the base paths with two stolen bases.
