The women's basketball team fell to the #7 nationally ranked Onondaga Lazers on Thursday night. The Lady Raiders scared the Lazers with a strong first half, but could not hold on as they were defeated, 91-55.

FM came out strong on the defensive end showing a lot of energy in the first half. Quincy Lake converted on a lay-up and Shiasia Williams converted at the foul line to give the Lady Raiders the 27-24 lead with six minutes left in the first half. The FM scoring went cold over the next five minutes and Onondaga took a 43-31 lead at the half.

In the second half, Onondaga came out hot and FM was unable to recover on the offensive end. Quincy Lake led FM with 21 points and Shiasia Williams had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Raiders sit at 2-2 in region 3 play and now head into the mid-semester break. They will return to action at home on January 15th when they host SUNY Adirondack.
