Keyser, WV- Home sweet home.

After opening the season with ten straight road games, Potomac State finally got to enjoy the friendly confines of Golden Park on Saturday afternoon with a sweep over CCAC by the scores of 5-1 and 16-6.

Chris Harbert gave the home crowd plenty to cheer for in the opener as he hit his first home run of the season in the third inning to break a 1-1 tie.

PSC extended the lead in the third inning when Jordan Canby opened the inning with a single.  Seth Healy then walked, and Braden Sloan reached on a bunt single to load the bases. Reilly Bubb delivered a sacrifice fly to score Canby masking the score 3-1.  Lex Wescott followed with an RBI groundout that scored Healy and then Harbert then singled to score Sloan and made the score 5-1.

Cooper Polcovich picked up the win, working six solid innings.  The southpaw struck out five and allowed just three hits.  Harbert worked a perfect seventh inning, striking out three to complete the win.

In the nightcap Lance Hartley liked the feel of the Golden Park mound as the freshman picked up the win to improve to 2-1.  The hard-throwing right-hander struck out ten CCAC hitters in 3 2/3 innings of work.

Hunter Krotzer worked the final 2 1/3 innings striking out three and not allowing a run.

Wescott led the Catamount attack with four runs driven in.  Four other PSC hitters drove in two runs apiece: Caden Johnson, Ryan Conrad, Carson Boober and Tanner Haskiell

Potomac State, now 6-6, will play again on Tuesday on the road for a 12:00 p.m. doubleheader versus Eastern Mennonite.
