MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Led by Chloe Watson's 17 points, the Mid Michigan College women's basketball team won a hard fought 68-61 contest over Bay College on Saturday (Feb. 1) inside Morey Courts.
Watson added nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal for the Lakers (19-2, 7-0 MCCAA North). The win also helped Mid finish the first half of conference play undefeated.
Rachel Resio posted 14 points along with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals. She finished 8-of-8 at the free throw line.
Jiaryatou Cisse and Delaney Seaman had eight points each.
McKenzie Hoffmeyer led the visiting Norse (12-9, 5-2 MCCAA North) with 15 points.
The Lakers will begin the second half of MCCAA North play with a trip to Montcalm on Wednesday (Feb. 5). Tipoff is set for 5:30 PM.
