One key to the game for Middlesex was their depth and bench play. The Colts bench, led by Genilah Singleton's 17 points, outscored the Essex reserves 21-7 and outrebounded them 20-13.
Angelina Peralta-Almonte (Sophomore/Plainfield, NJ) had five blocks in the game, the fifth time she has had that many blocks in a game this season. She is currently second in the country among NJCAA Division II athletes with 4.3 blocks per game and total blocks with 39. Green's double-double was her fourth of the season.
