The College of Central Florida Patriots looked dominate vs Polk State in their first home Citrus Conference games of the season. It was a nice rebound for the Pats after dropping both games vs Daytona State on Tuesday.

The Pats were first to score in game one when centerfielder Amy Crosby hit a two-run home run to right in the third inning. They added three more in the fourth with RBIs by Sarah Stewart, Amy Crosby, and Leah Clark. The Pats were able to take advantage of 4 Polk errors in the game. Clark finished the game going 2 for 4 with a home run, three RBI, and two stolen bases. Crosby had three hits and three RBI along with a stolen base.

Pyle pitched a complete seven-inning game in the circle. She scattered eight hits allowing four runs, only one earned, and struck out one. She improved to 4-4 on the year with the win.

Game 2: CF 10 - PSC 2

Polk State got off to an early lead scoring one in the first off of Patriot Starter Morgyn Stevens, however the Pats responded right back by scoring two in the bottom of the inning with a two-run home run from Gabrielle Rascher. It was her second HR of the season. The Patriots would go on to score at least one in each inning until they walked off the Eagles in the 6th on Amber Daugherty's double to score two runs for the 8-run mercy rule.

Stevens had a solid performance in the circle for the Lady Pats. She threw six innings and surrendered just two runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out one. She improved to 2-0 on the year.
