SUNY Niagara forced 44 turnovers on its way to a 67-41 non-conference win at Cuyahoga Community College on Wednesday night. The Thunderwolves, ranked No. 17 in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll, improved to 6-0 overall.
Sophomore Makayla Thomas stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, six rebounds, six steals and four assists as the Wolfpack overcame a poor shooting night. Classmate Anaya Smith added 13 points and six boards in the win.
SUNY Niagara returns to action at Noon Sunday when it hosts Lackawanna College as part of its annual Tip-Off Classic.
