
The Lakeland women's basketball team traveled to Hocking College today to face the Hawks in OCCAC action.The Lady Lakers had a tough day as they fell by a score of 57-50. The Lakers got off to a slow start as the Hawks forced 6 turnovers in the 1st quarter to take an 18 point lead at one point. In the second quarter, Lakeland battled and cut the deficit to 11 going into the break. Despite the strong effort for the rest of the game, the Lakers were unable to make the comeback.
Kiara Smith had a strong game with 20 points and 7 steals.

Gardy's Gab: "We fought hard throughout the game, but you just can't give anyone in our league that big of a lead and expect to comeback. Credit to Hocking as they are a good team and also give credit to our team for battling for the last 3 quarters. We'll go back and work on some things and get ready for our next game."
