Wolf Dazzles, Seahawks Sweep CSM
NORTH EAST - Cecil starter Trent Wolf struck out 10 batters over six innings of work, leading the Seahawks to an 8-2 triumph over the Southern Maryland (CSM) Hawks to close out the weekend.
Wolf allowed just one run in the first and third innings to the Hawks. The freshman right-hander was nearly flawless the rest of the way, surrenduring only two walks and a hit over his final three frames. Wolf passed the torch to Chad Francis in the seventh, who struck out three batters in a row to end the game.
At the dish, Cecil scored eight runs on eight hits. Asher Friedman recorded his first collegiate home run for the Seahawks lone extra-base hit of the game. Hunter Sipel led all batters with three RBI.
Cecil has now won eight of its last nine games and currently sits at 8-4 on the season.
