COFFEYVILLE, Kan. - Colby Community College women's basketball team fought for 40 minutes at #22 ranked Coffeyville Community College last Saturday, pushing the nationally ranked team to bring their best. The Trojans fell 69-57 to the Red Ravens and are now 12-8 on the year, 7-7 in the KJCCC.
Throughout the game, the Trojans would keep the game within ten points but couldn't get over the hump and secure a road win.
"After a slow start, we settled in and made some play on both ends of the floor and competed well. Our challenge remains our lack of consistency on the offensive end, and it places stress on our always solid team defense. We have to find a way to bring our best for longer stretches in the game and be much more consistent on offense. " added Coach Spence.
The Trojans have a big week coming up when they host #4 and defending national champion Hutchinson on Wednesday and Garden City on Saturday.
