Wolverines Pickup First Win Of The Season

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines picked up their first win of the season on Thursday night vs Rowan College - Cumberland, 83 to 47. The Wolverines came out playing some efficient offense and suffocating defense, holding their opponents to 18 first half points. The Wolverines were led by Jaidan Gilzene with 16 points and both Jarrett Nelson and Jason Martinez with 11 points a piece. The Wolverines shot almost 50% from the field (49.3%) and forced 34 turnovers on their opponents for the game.

Shane Cedres and Ethan Laquindanum both chipped in with 10 points a piece as well. The Wolverines offense had five players on the night score in double figures.

The win marks the first career victory for Coach AJ Kemp. Congratulations!

The Wolverines return to action next on Tuesday Nov. 26th at 7pm against County College of Morris in the Cleo Hill Gymnaisum.
