Women’s Basketball Fall Short As Salem Loses To Raritan Valley

Branchburg, NJ. – The Salem Community College women's basketball team fell to Raritan Valley Community College in Region 19 play, 75-54.  Salem drops to 10-10 on the season.

The Mighty Oaks had three women score in double figures in the matchup.  Nyaijah Jackson led the way with 18 points for SCC shooting 7-10 from the field.  Sophomore Jakayla Jenkins tied her season high scoring 12 points.  Rounding out the Mighty Oaks scoring in double figures was Akira Chambers adding 11 points in the loss.

Up next for Salem will be RCSJ-Gloucester at home at the DuPont Fieldhouse on the campus of SCC Thursday February 6. Tip off is slated for 5:00PM.
