Catamounts drop opening series to Lenoir

Kinston, NC- Potomac State was unable to manage much offense as they dropped their opening series at Lenoir Community College.

On Saturday, PSC was shutout in both games mustering just five hits in the twin bill dropping the pair 6-0 and 7-0.

Cooper Polcovich took the loss in the opener allowing three runs, one earned in 4 2/3 innings of work.

Ryne Ange picked up the win for the Lancers with a complete game effort, striking out seven. The sophomore improved to 4-0.

Jordan Brown had a pair of hits for LCC.

In game two, Dalen Boykin outdueled the catamounts, striking out 10 and walking just one.

Lance Hartley was saddled with the loss, striking out five in three innings of work.

Aiden Taylor and Brennan Moran each had a pair of hits for the Lancers who out hit PSC 7-2.

In the finale, PSC let the Lancers jump out to a 7-1 lead after two innings enroute to a 16-3 win.

Reilly Bubb had a pair of hits and an RBI for the Catamounts, while Seth Healy and Caden Johnson each drove in a run.
