It's always a tough battle for the Cyclones when they face Malcolm X College. That trend continued as Moraine Valley fell to the Hawks 95-71.

The Hawks jumped to a lead in the first quarter but not by much. Moraine Valley pushed the offense but could only get as close as three points; they trailed 43-38 at halftime. The second half saw more of a physical game, which frustrated the Cyclones and opened the deficit near the end.

Shakila Brownlow led with 15 points while Lily Hernandez added 14 points and three steals. Robin Stevenson chipped in 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Jadea Johnson finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.
