Seahawks open with 106-56 win over Kingwood

Lamar State College Port Arthur made a statement in its 2024-25 season-opener on Saturday, Nov. 2, taking a 106-56 win over Lone Star College-Kingwood at the Carl Parker Center.

Four Seahawks finished in double-figures, led by Tripp Parker's 22 points. Jesse Cornell added 16 points, Zion Young had 13, and Darel Reece chipped in 10 points for the Hawks.

Parker, a freshman forward from Nederland, hit a pair of 3-pointers and was 2-of-3 from the free throw line in the game.

The Seahawks return to action on Thursday night when they travel to East Chambers High School for a 7 p.m. game against Strength N Motion. That game will be broadcast live at https://www.lamarstateseahawks.com/sports/Seahawks_Live_Stream.
