SAINTS TAKE DOWN SHARKS AT HOME
The Miami Dade College Sharks travelled to Gainesville, Florida, Saturday afternoon to face the Saints in their final home game of the season.
With playoff hopes on the line for Saints Nation, Connor Morris answered the call by starting the game with 3 straight three pointers. The Saints rode that momentum to go into the second half with a 9 point lead. In the second half, the Sharks rallied to make it a 4 point game. However, strong second half performances from Karmello Branch, Connor Morris, and Ryan Webster elevated the Saints to what was a 16 point lead midway through the second half. However, the Sharks got themselves into foul trouble with multiple players fouling out and sending the Saints into the double bonus with plenty of time left in the second half. The Saints then cruised to a 10 point victory with a final score of 85-75. Karmello Branch and Connor Morris both led scoring with 21 points, with Branch going 11/11 from the charity stripe in the second half and Connor Morris cashing in 5 three pointers.
