Jersey Blues Women Nab Win Over Lehigh Carbon To Finish Regular Season

Schnecksville, PA - Brookdale women's soccer finished their regular season strong with a 9-1 win over the Lehigh Carbon Community College Cougars.

Both freshman forwards, Taylor Suckey and Cameron Hughes each blasted three goals a piece to lead Brookdale. Suckey received two assists from Hughes in the first half, then scored an unassisted goal in the second half. Hughes scored all of her goals in the first half with her first off of the foot of Taylor Suckey at 13:22. At 31:44, sophomore midfielder, Ashley Palmieri, found Hughes for her second goal, and then Hughes struck again with her third and final goal at 38:28.

Following Hughes' goal, freshman midfielder, Hannah Roberts, scored her first Jersey Blues goal at 56:31 with assistance from freshman forward, Gloria Catanzariti. Goal number seven was unassisted from Ashley Palmieri, and frehman defender, Lexi Ricci scored the last goal of the game at 72:24. 

Brookdale has been seeded at the #6 spot for the Region 19 DIII East B Division, and will play the #3 Ocean County College Vikings on Tuesday, October 29th, at Ocean County College starting at 1:30pm.
