Amya Green hit a game tying shot with less than a minute left and Genilah Singleton hit the game winner with less than a second left as Middlesex College pulled off a thrilling 62-60 win over Delaware Technical CC.
Middlesex (5-8) was down by as many as 14 points and trailed 32-24 at the half before being spurred by a fantastic third quarter in which they outscored Del Tech 22-10.
Green led all scorers with 18 points. She also nabbed 12 rebounds to secure her fifth double-double of the season. Alyssa Rice (Freshman/Piscataway, NJ) added 13 points while Angelina Peralta-Almonte (Sophomore/Plainfield, NJ) led the Colts with five assists and five blocks.
Yasmen Zafar (Sophomore/North Plainfield, NJ) had eight points, three steals and three assists off the bench for the Colts.
Middlesex returns to action on January 7 when they travel to Orange CC for a cross-region contest. Tipoff is set for 5:00PM.
