Harbert saves the day for Potomac State in split with Marietta

Keyser, WV- Chris Harbert had a game for the ages to help Potomac State salvage a doubleheader split with Marietta Sunday afternoon at Golden Park.
 
Harbert was a perfect 3-3 with a double and two triples.  He also walked, drove in four runs, scored four times and pitched the final inning to secure the 12-2 win.
 
Ryan Conrad also drove in four runs going 3-3 with a triple and two singles.
 
In all, Potomac State banged out thirteen hits and drew seven walks.
 
Evan Jenkins picked up the win with 3 2/3 innings of work.  The righthander struck out four, allowing two runs on four hits. 
 
Carson Boober, Tanner Haskiell and Harbert each threw an inning, none of which allowed a run to complete the win.
 
In the opener, PSC starter Aidan Sites took the tough-luck loss to fall to 1-2.  Despite striking out eleven Marietta hitters, Sites and PSC fell 4-2.
 
Sites allowed just three hits, but one came off the bat of Brennan Stobbs who hit a two-run home run in the first inning.
 
Lex Wescott and Harbert each had two hits for the Catamounts, who outhit the Pioneers 7-3.  
 
Potomac State, now 11-7, will play at Golden Park on Wednesday with 2PM doubleheader with Garrett College.
